These are similar to the fly paper my grandmother used 60 years ago.The only real difference is they are pretty and they are not made of paper.They are quite easy to put up, simply remove the backing paper from one side of the trap, stick it to the window and then remove the backing paper from the other side.They will catch flying bugs but only if they land on the fly trap.I noticed that I had a fly in my kitchen when I was putting these up so I watched it for about 15 mins. It flew all around the kitchen but managed to avoid the fly traps (I had 3) the whole time. In the end I had to get the fly spray.I tried removing the paper from the window and it came off quite easily so that is a plus.One thing that detracts from products like this is that when they do catch insects, you have a picture of a flower stuck on your window with dead insects all over it.So, if it works really well and catches a lot of insects, you have to replace it every day. If it doesn't catch a lot of insects, you won't have to replace it as often but then it is not effective either.Catch 22.
