this is quite a stiff net, and you don't get much for your money BUT i found the lighter net drove me nuts trying to streetch it across planters. i get a lot of bother from pesky squirrels! i am hoping this will be easier to manage, it is the exact size /width of my zinc planters and i can fasten it to the handles each end. i think it will keep slugs out too.

So I got this as a useful material to use in my flower arranging hobby. I was expecting it to be wire as it is described as “ chicken wire” in the listing. However, it is not. It’s just a very firm strong plastic mesh. It would be fine to use as a trellis in the garden, for a plant with fine stems…something like sweet peas. It comes with some cable ties…so I guess you could fix stems to the mesh or indeed fix the mesh to something else. It doesn’t have the properties of chicken wire in that it doesn’t hold its shape when bent.
