Kirschen/ Two Cherrries is definitely a name of quality. This chisel is just beautiful, functional and tough. I'm at the stage where I wanted to invest in tools that will be with me for life or longer. I was looking for tools and brands that I would be proud of owning and using. This is definitely one of them!

First off, I am not a seasoned woodworker. I am a novice at best, but I DO work with tools for a living and over the years my curiosity for working with wood peaked. I visited several woodworking sites and collected a base knowledge of the tools most recommended for a beginner. Chisels seemed to be the most mentioned item (and the least expensive investment, comparatively speaking) so I started there. I'm not giving this chisel five stars because it's the best chisel out there, some of the elite woodworkers would probably rank this chisel lower on the list than myself. For the price, though (under $30) I don't know how or why they would. I spent only minutes getting the edge razor sharp. It was quite sharp out of the box and frankly, I was hesitant to put my brand new chisel to a stone, but having watched a couple of videos on that process, also, I decided I was up to the task. I did invest in a honing guide and a decent wet stone....the rest was a piece of cake. All in all, I like the feel of this chisel, the look of this chisel and the quality of this chisel. I'd recommend it to anyone searching for a quality tool for a minimal investment.

I love these chisels, have a set already. Once flattened, sharpened, and polished, these things cut amazingly. However from this seller my handle was covered in tape, the stickiest bar code label known to man, and a horrible sticky lacquer over the handle I had to scrape off. Great chisel however
