Kirschen 3441000 houtsnijset 11-delige set in houten kist veelkleurig

I am very happy with the set! I needed to purchase separately few other smaller sizes but the set itself is just great to start on woodcarving. If I designed this set though I would change the double blade knife for the more practical knife ref 3352000, but I guess everyone has their ideal set in mind :)

My husband gave these to me for an anniversary gift. I love them. They are very sturdy and stay sharp.

I've bought two of these sets and sent both of them back. With the first set, the gouge had a skewed bevel, the V tool had deep grind marks on the side of it and the skewed chip knife had a non straight edge.On the second set, the gouge had the same issue, the V tool's wings were far from inline and it's bevels were all over the place. The straight chisel was the worst, with the body being so uneven that it was beyond a joke. The LHS of center had 2mm more to it than the RHS. I have no clue as to how they accomplished that...The tools are well polished, with comfortable handles, feel solid etc, but the poor grinding and QA is beyond a joke. This appears to be a recent issue, as tools from Kirschen had far better QA a few years ago. I've chosen to go with Pfeil and will only be buying Kirschen tools that I can inspect in person, from now on. I truly hope that they can fix their QA and tool grinding issues, before another great company fails.The two photos are from the second set. Due to being polished, it was hard to accuracy capture the issues with the tools.

Arrived in perfect condition. A beautiful crafted set of blades, purchased for my daughter's university studies of which she is delighted with.
