I use this as an argb 3 pin controller. My case has a fan/argb hub and also a controller built in, but i have 8 argb fans running and don't want to overload the motherboard connection and the MSI bios has no argb control, nor do I want to use the case controller which requires installing Cooler masters software.I just want a controller to display a static color and requires no software and also one with enough channels where I don't have to use a splitter plugging 2 or more devices into a single channel.With this I can plug each individual argb connection into the controller which doesn't over load the system (no dimming lights when using too many argb devices on a single splitter).I don't plug my fans into this controller, I just plug the fan argb connection into the controller and that is all, no connection to the motherboard.The remote works fine. The controller is behind a steel plate in my case which covers the wiring and of course, the side of the case, so the controller is behind two pieces of metal and the remote works fine from 5 feet away. All buttons work.The only thing I wish this had was a mode for the static colors, like pulse or swirl, I think this is a miss.I bought this because I didn't want to use software to control the argb and also because the mother board bios didn't have any argb control, so while the case hub was fine, when turning on the PC, the argb defaults to rainbow flashing, but with no way to change it.With this I have it set for a static color, no software and the device works really well, its solid.

Funktioniert sehr gut man sollte aber vorher lieber die Bedienungsanleitung von der Lüftersteuerung mit Fernbedienung und ARGB Beleuchtung durchlesen und die Bilder genau anschauen damit machen die Lüftersteuerung richtig verbindet. Der CPU Lüfter wird an den Controller an den vorgesehenen Anschluss angeschlossen und vom Controller das Steuerung Kabel für CPU an den Anschluss direkt ans Mainboard da wo der CPU Fan vorher angeschlossen war. Dann wird auch der Lüfter vom Mainboard BIOS auch bekannt und man kann auch von BIOS die Lüfter Geschwindigkeit ansteuern und anpassen und falls der CPU zu warm wird erhöht automatisch das BIOS die Geschwindigkeit wenn man es richtig im BIOS eingestellt. Ich bin mit der Lüftersteuerung zu pflegen. Auch nach Anfangs Problemen weil ich das kleine Steuerung Kabel für den Sensor nicht am CPU Fananschluss am Mainboard angeschlossen habe und deswegen hat das BIOS den Lüfter nicht richtig angesteuert weil wenn der CPU Lüfter nicht mit BIOS kommunizieren kann dann funktioniert es auch nicht automatisch wenn der Computer eingeschaltet ist aber wenn alles korrekt angeschlossen ist und richtig eingestellt ist dann funktioniert die Geschwindigkeit Regelung über BIOS automatisch und der CPU Lüfter muss im Controller an dem roten 4 Pin Anschluss eingesteckt sein. Und dann werden alle Lüfter optimal reguliert.eine kleine Hinweis zu der mitgelieferte Fernbedienung Batterien einsetzen muss man vorher das auch die Kerbe nach innen schieben damit man das Batteriefach herausziehen kann ist leider nicht in der kurze Bedienungsanleitung angezeigt wie man eine Knopfzelle Batterie wechselt.

neat little device. if you know what you are doing and hook it up right it works very well. cheap too.here's what i did:hooked all my RGB sync fans to this device including my water cooler lightshooked the RGB sync input to my motherboardnow my motherboard runs the RGB lighting still which i'm perfectly fine with. does a really good job. mounting is easy cause the bottom of this unit is magnetic. its not strong enough magnetism to harm hard drives but good enough to stay where it is put. i even thought about using a Amazon Alexa enabled LED Light strip controller i have and using it to control the lighting but decided against it and just went the motherboard route instead.
