I tested this in a tent at -8c and the only thing between the ground and me was this mat, sleeping bag and floor of the tent. I am 280 lbs and slept warm and comfortable all night. I tend to sleep on my side and stomach and found this mat handled a guy my size no problem. After waking up in the morning and the mat hadn't lost any air I knew this was a great mat. Insulates well, blows up quick and easy, valve does not leak, lightweight and comfortable. Klymit static v for the win! Check out Adventure time outdoors on youtube for a great review on this sleeping pad.

Heard people saying it's hard to roll up back into the bag. Do not listen - it is easy. (those poor people.... Sorry to criticize guys, but... It's really pretty easy.)Heard people saying it's hard to get the air out. Do not listen, it is easy. Maybe they are bothered that you have to run your forearms down it twice to get the air out... I can afford that for 25oz night of comfortable, warm sleep the size of a tightly rolled pair of pants.Heard people saying they were big and it was still comfortable. Listen to them, it blew my mind. When I received it and heated it's weight and saw how small it was, I was SO incredulous. When I unrolled it I laughed. I though I had been bamboozled - literally, I wasn't just incredulous. Then I blew it up in 40 seconds. Because of the (frankly ingenious) chambered design, it shifts to hold you completely off the ground, using your weight pushing down to push up on you. Even if you don't buy this, go try one somewhere, it's the kind of thing that makes you wonder what took us so long to figure out. It just works. And it takes way less time to fill up, and is just tiny/light.I heard people saying it kept them warm. Listen to them, it does! I tested it out in 25 degrees on concrete. I laid on the bare ground (it was cold and hard), I laid on a yoga mat (it was actually pretty insulated! But cold and hard), I laid about 15 minutes on the sleep pad. Everything touching it was toasty warm (not just not-cold, it was comfy warm! How do they do that? For a few more ounces the pad keeps you warm??) and I was comfortable, even on my side.I'm 6'2" and 200lb. And I'm a big time side sleeper who has always had a hard time sleeping outside. Hips hurt! But even on concrete I could get comfortable. It wasn't like my bed, but it has such a dynamic feel and active flow of air in your movements, it hugs you. Very comfortable. I don't know if they make pads that feel like bed, no hardness at all, but this isn't that perfect. But I was able to side-sleep in mid 30's for 2 nights in the Mt. St Helens wilderness and get some very nice batches of continuous rest. Temperature was a total non-issue. Comfort was very adequate and I won't be looking for something better (I've tried most thermarest air/foam pads and other foams - ick) because of great performance. If you are a back or tummy sleeper, this would be even better.PROS-comfort! (side sleeping power! Static V power!)-warmth! (WOW)-packed size and weight.-length and width, fits my whole frame, even on my side with knees bent-deployment. I can do this in 8 breaths, however it's a lot easier to do smaller breaths. I can blow it up in 30 seconds. I can have it from filled to rolled into he bag in 2 minutes, and in my package to laying on it in 1. I'm impressed, and all those bulky 'self-inflating' pads can take a hike. (pun intended).-design (cutting edge, seriously brilliant stuff in the chamber idea) (and the ergos are superior)-carry bag and system. Also comes with repair kit, that is conveniently attaches as a flap on the bag lip, so you don't lose it.-got mine in camo, think I'm going to have a camo phase of life. looks very good, absolutely same quality - buy without fear.-price. Got mine for like $75 in late '15.-friend envy. No one admitted it, but they were impressed/jealous of this novel, dainty luxury. One of them got a little sick and took a 3-hour nap on it. What's wrong with your hammock? ;-)-durability. Feels very strong, quality, robust for being a glorified balloon. I've played with it a lot, I deploy it for fun, let my 1 year old play on it (what was I thinking??), and have used it on exposed rocky concrete and in a tent on rough ground. No issues-valve. I have hear people saying it's wrong to have it by the head, that plastic is too weak. Don't listen to them, placement is fine (and if you need more air for some reason you need more air, you'd be grumbling if it wasn't at the head!), and plastic is fine. It's not the physical apatratus breaking that causes pad failure. The valve isn't exposed when rolled up, it isn't roughed up normally, and it's just fine. Also it's a very intuitive and quick/easy system that hasn't leaked.-seal. Holds air. I think I had to blow up once during the night. But it was very cold. I'm impressed with its air holding. I fill it up all the way, taut.CONS-noise. My buddy decided to sleep it the tent with me, to my chagrin I think I woke him up half the times I had to shift. It's loud with a bag and major shifting. In the quiet of night, in a tent, it can be disruptive.-slick. I've heard that it's slippery. Listen, they're right. I thought "peh, who cares? Am I gonna sleep on a hill?" well, our first night was on a hill. Every move, except for flexing a single ankle at a time, had me slipping downward. This was a very annoying experience. We could have been smarter and prioritized finding a flat spot, and probably anyone would slip on that incline (my buddy did and had military gear), but hey I can't lie. It's kinda slick. Not so you would notice normally, but with a slick bag and any hill, you'll notice.

Klymit construction seems sturdy. Comfortable sleeping mat given the size, while lying flat or rolling to your side. Little narrow in the shoulders, though with the inflated rail part its comfortable enough. Haven't tested the insulation component just yet but happy with the packed size and weight.
