NOT WORKING AS I EXPECTED

I have a few Knipex tools and I like them all, they are nice to use and very good quality. Not the cheapest but well worth the bit extra they cost because you can always rely on them to do what they are supposed to without fuss. I bought these specifically to strip fine wire (0.8 mm diameter and smaller) in a confined space. They do it well but there is a knack to stripping the wire without nicking the copper strands underneath. Its takes a bit of practice so set the wire size stop, cut through the insulation without damaging the copper strands, fractionally reduce the pressure and gently strip the wire. Once you've got the hang of it they are brilliant. I've given them four stars only because of this need for a knack. If there was another way of scoring I'd give them more, but not quite a full 5 star.
