Initially, the pliers did not strip anything after replacing the worn out blade cartridge with the new one. It seemed that no pressure was excerted on the wire. After further investigation, I found that the new cartridge came without the two cilinder glide bearings on the top-back end of the cartridge, which is essential for it to work. I took them out of the original, worn out blade cartridge, put them in the new one and voila, working again. However, these glide bearings are a metal cylinder/pin coated in some plastic material, and that plastic wears over time as well, making the bearibg thinner and lowering the pressure you excert on the wire. So I would have appreciated this lart to be complete with new bearingsThe included manual doesn't mention anything on the bearings (it actually states that you should toss it in thw trash as soon as you take it out), and the product picture on Amazon shows a cartridge with the bearings in it. So I reckon it shluld be included. Reading other revieqs, some mention the replacement cartridge does not work due to a lack of pressure, indicating that they may have gotten a cartridge without bearings as well, but never noticed. So Knipex seems to have a quality control issue here.It took me a while to find time to replace the cartridge, so the return window had already closed. If not, I would have returned for a replacement, hoping that that would have the bearings in it.

Je viens de remplacer mes anciennes lames de ma pince à dénuder Knipex. Le remplacement est un peu compliqué mais une fois que c'est fait, la pince est de nouveau toute neuve ! Elle est repartie pour une nouvelle année de dénudage intensif !

Was first like in the first 2 pictures but I took my balls and just used the stone for knife and just straightend the blade as on picture 3 and 4, because I seen that was just a little extra that needed to be removed from the end of the blade to be straight and sharp. I used it on my old striper and is better the new or is so old I don't remember how it worked new but I'm happy now.

Après avoir changé les lames de ma pince elle ne dénude pas mieux qu'avec les lames usées, de plus les oiseaux sont dans l'autre sens ce qui modifie le réglage de longueur en enlevant 1mm.Cette pince est très chère, les lames de remplacement aussi. Quand m'a pince était neuve je décidais sans problème du 22AWG souple 7 brin et rigide monobrin. Et là avec des lames neuves je ne parviens plus à dénuder du 22awg.
