I usually use Nova cubic interchangeable tips but these only start at size 4.00mm I have just discovered these Nova cubic fixed circular needles in different lengths which start at 2.50mm. Thus filling the size gap. The NON CUBIC Nova interchangeable tips start at 3.00mm but Knit Pro are making Nova circular needles size 2.00mm in different lengths upwards.Cubic needles are oblong shaped rather than round thus the yarn does not slide down the needle too fast which is an asset when you are a beginner or you are working with a shiny yarn that slides down the needle.I find this slowing down of the stitches an asset when knitting Aran. If you are knitting on ordinary needles working on part of the aran pattern which is stocking stitch and you come the twisting or cabling for instance you need the stitches loose enough to perform the patterning but loose stitches CAN slide down the needle. The cubic shape really helps.I find I am knitting more on the cubic needles these days.

N’ayant pas d’aiguilles circulaires No 3 pour faire mon pull j’ai acheté ces aiguilles. Et je ne suis pas deçue, le cable est suffisamment long et les raccords avec les aiguilles sont solides. Je n’ai toutefois pas fait attention en les commandant que les aiguilles sont cubiques mais en les utilisant ça ne pose pas de probleme, je trouve meme que l’on a plus de maintien entre les mains.
