I was determined to breastfeed my daughter but was struggling as she had a high palate, which caused such severe trauma to my nipples that they had deep cracks and bled considerably during every feed, even if I fed using silicone nipple shields. I tried using lanolin before and after each feed and didn’t find this helped at all. The pain was absolutely excruciating. A friend of mine recommended silver nipple shields and I honestly can’t believe the difference they made! I bought the 100% silver ones, expressed some breast milk into each and wore them all day and night between feeds. I saw a significant difference in a day or two, and they were fully healed a couple of days after that, to the point where I was able to breastfeed pain-free and without silicone shields. These are a real game changer and I wish more professionals knew about and recommended them.

Ces coquilles d’argent ont sauvé les tétons les premiers deux mois d’allaitement. Je les portait non stop avec de la lanoline… cela permettait que les tétons ne se frottent plus de vêtements et qu’ils ont temps de repos entre des tétées doulereuses les cinq premières semaines. Après une frenotomie, j’ai petit à petit plus eu besoin de les utiliser. Je vais les offrir à cadeau à toute copine enceinte qui veut allaiter..

Ich bin selbst durch eine Bekannte drauf gebracht worden. Sie sind seit dem ersten Tag in Verwendung und ich muss sagen, schade dass ich sie nicht schon noch eher gekauft habe!Vorallem in der Anfangszeit trugen sie extrem dazu bei, dass die überbeanspruchten Brustwarzen eine Schonung erhielten. Denn wie so oft, wenn was weh tut, man kommt hin! Mit den Hütchen war das wesentlich erträglicher! Wunde Stellen waren innerhalb weniger Tage komplett verheilt, trotz weiter Stillens! Ich hatte es vorher mit Lotionen versucht und mit Kühlpads, nichts hat so geholfen wie diese Hütchen! Und sie sind auch nicht wirklich kaputtbar, es sei denn man geht arg ruppig damit um, denn sie sind doch recht Dünnwandig, also am Besten vorsichtig beim Abwaschen, sie können relativ leicht verbiegen!Dennoch ich habe sie direkt nochmal gekauft um einer Freundin den Einstieg zu erleichtern!
