I heartily recommend this product. A lifesaver in the days when I almost gave up on breastfeeding.

I bought these nipple cups a month into exclusively pumping breastmilk for my first child. I was experiencing a lot of nipple soreness and cracks.On first impression I found them to have quite a tactile feel and a very smooth and shiny appearance, they do give off a feeling of wearing jewellery and I always felt slightly silly slipping them into my bra! They are very lightweight and once you put them on it's easy to forget that they are there. They come with a small velvety pouch which keeps them safe from damage when you're not wearing them.In the early days of expressing I experienced a lot of discomfort, bleeding, cracks and blisters. I think because the pump was gradually pulling out my inverted nipples. Despite my nipples being inverted the shallow dish shape of the cup covered them well. Once I started using these cups I found that pain from the cracks reduced in a few hours and by the next feed they were ready to go again!The instructions recommend putting a drop of breastmilk inside the cup before putting them on. I imagine this is so that the antibacterial properties of the milk can also help aid the healing process.Within a few weeks my pain subsided and I found that I didn't need them anymore, but they definitely did their job. For me they worked much more efficiently than any creams you can buy and are much easier to use when you're out and about. One downside I found was that my breasts seemed a lot more leaky when I wore them but that might not be the same for everyone!They are expensive but worth it if you are struggling with nipple pain. These are the speediest way that I found to heal injuries to the nipple.

EDIT: Changed from 2 to 5 stars because they were only tarnished and a little bit of baking soda and water made them look brand new. You can also purchase silicone silverette rings to pad the sharp edges!I've been using these for 1 week, and I'll be buying a new pair by a different brand. I"m a first time mom so I didn't know if these were really something I needed, therefore I went with this most cost-effective option.Pros:- They really do work to soothe sore nips and keep them from cracking.Cons:- The finish is coming off of them, or maybe they're tarnishing... I'm not sure. They just look really beat up already and I'm scared that if it's the finish coming off, where is it going? Onto my breast and them into my baby's mouth?- Once my mature milk came in they were extremely uncomfortable - the edge feels like a razor blade and it's difficult to wear.

Recommended to buy these by lactation consultant and thank goodness I did! They helped me heal and made it possible for me to carry on breastfeeding which is one of the best things I’ve ever done. I had bad pain due to using nipple shield for baby with tongue tie in the early days and was never getting a chance to heal. Had to wear these for about 3 months before I got totally better but they helped with the pain straight away making it possible to carry on breastfeeding which me and my baby love.

It's worth the money. Helps sooth sore, dry and cracked nipples. Also has a barrier between you and clothes for some more protection when you nipples are sore. It was better than any cream I used. It would also hold breastmilk against your nipple which is the best thing to treat them when dry and cracked.
