Save your nipples girls and get one of these. There are a few items that I would still use even if they are costlier - because with a new baby, sanity, sleep and wellbeing are priceless! And this silver cap is one of those items that would buy you nipple comfort!On my day 2 visit, my midwife suggested I get these nipple caps because while I have been feeding well my nipples were becoming sore... and as baby grew stronger she was biting me and as she fed more my nipples cracked and became red as well. Doesn't help by week 2, her tongue tie was impeding her feeding and my nipples were red and mildly deformed.Breastfeeding would not have been possible had I not got these on day 3 and kept using it between my bra and my nipples. The cooling sensation makes the pain feels tolerable, the cap stops fabric from rubbing against the nipples and with a bit of lanolin the caps sort of stay where they are and the caps help your nipples heal.I believe my nipples have not bled yet simply due to this.The other thing I would buy is the hush white noise machine, the lanolin nipple cream, the Madela Swing Maxi, the Madela feeding bra (hands free pumping!), UV steriliser and Sterifeed 130ml reusable bottles. Ho letto più volte che non ci sono ricerche scientifiche che confermino l’utilità di queste coppette d’argento, ma nel mio caso sono state una salvezza. Ho sin da subito avuto forti dolori, ferite e sangue, e nonostante le varie creme e garze suggeritemi dalle infermiere, il vero cambiamento lo hanno fatto loro. La sensazione di non avere più i tessuti addosso dopo aver allattato mi ha aiutato tantissimo e mi ha permesso di continuare a farlo, sebbene con allattamento misto!
