Robust, made to last. Mine required tightening up when setting to the required depth, then it will stay fixed for all future uses. Does the job perfectly to ensure smooth level finish and depth to the coffee in the puck ensuring correct brewing and discharge of shot. Well made, easy to clean due to polished surface, of suitable weight and easy to adjust depth for accuracy and lock - I expect will last for years!!!

This does a really good job of distributing evening out the puck and conveniently adjusts to the correct height you need. Very little waste if the grounds are piled fairly evenly in the portafilter before you start. Still need to tamp with something else, but I prefer that to the double sided distributer/tamper style you can get. Much easier to keep clean, and to keep your hands clean.
