We keep 2 coffee makers in our home and we use them a lot. One is a drip coffee machine, the other is an espresso maker with a frothing wand. In addition, we have extremely hard water (Florida) that leaves a scale on everything, impeding liquid flow.This powder arrived intact in the plastic jar (no shrink wrap on top to secure the lid) but the inner protective liner was intact, so there was no powder spillage. According to the instructions for our units we were to use 1 heaped teaspoon (3-5 grams) in each of our units. Because the container has 450 grams of powder, this would mean we can get anywhere from 90 to 150 uses out of this container. That is a staggering number, considering the current price of this powder is $14.99.Now, the big question is, how well did it work? Answer: as far as we can determine, great. We do clean our coffee makers regularly, at least once per month, so it's not as if we were going from 0 - 100 in one fell swoop. However, whenever a coffee maker is cleaned there is always (bold font) a noticeable improvement in coffee taste afterward, and we could definitely taste the difference in the 'after' coffee.Because we have small coffee makers, not the fancy stainless ones, I went to caffenu (QR code on container, also a web site is listed) and watched the videos on how to use the product for Home Coffee Makers. I reduced the quantity down to 3 grams of descaler, ie, about one (1) level teaspoon. I also used the "used" descaler water that had run through the system into a big cup, and placed it under the frothing wand for 15 minutes to remove any invisible crud on the wand that I hadn't noticed before.I would highly recommend this product to anyone who uses a coffee maker regularly. If someone is going to go through the effort of making themselves a coffee with a home coffee maker, it's usually a person who appreciates a cup of coffee, and the resulting better taste is well worth the occasional 5 or 10 minutes this takes to produce a much tastier cup.

Dafür benötigen Sie zusätzlich andere Mittel, ebenso für die Reinigung der Milchdüse.Bei meiner Sage Dual Boiler läuft die Reinigung dank einer Automatikfunktion weitgehend selbsttätig ab.Verfügt ihr Gerät nicht über eine integrierte Reinigungsautomatik, sollte man im Handbuch der Maschine nach einer Anleitung suchen oder sich an der Anleitung dieses Produkts orientieren. Die Packung trägt auf ihrer Rückseite eine englische Anleitung, in der Amazon Produktbeschreibung findet sich eine deutsche Version.Für eine Reinigung benötigt man etwa 5 g Pulver. Die Dosierung muss nicht exakt sein. Eine Packung reicht für ungefähr 90 Reinigungsvorgänge – bei mir entspricht das etwa zwei Jahren.Im Vergleich zu Reinigungstabletten bietet das Pulver eine bessere Löslichkeit. Bei Tabletten habe ich es erlebt, dass sie nach dem Reinigungsvorgang nicht vollständig aufgelöst waren und somit ihre Reinigungswirkung teilweise ungenutzt geblieben ist. Mit Pulver passiert das nicht.Das Reinigungsmittel funktioniert sehr gut, was sich an der trüb-braunen Farbe des Schmutzwassers zeigt. Auch Filter und Siebträger lassen sich hervorragend reinigen, indem man sie in heißem Wasser mit etwas Pulver einlegt. Nach etwa einer halben Stunde sind die Teile strahlend sauber.Sehr wichtig: Nach der Reinigung sollten die Maschine und alle Teile gründlich gespült werden, damit keine Rückstände im Kaffee landen.Das Mittel ist gut löslich, einfach anzuwenden und überzeugt durch eine sehr gute Reinigungswirkung bei geringen Kosten pro Vorgang.

I used this coffee machine cleaning powder on my Breville Barista Pro espresso machine and cleaned it for the first time in two years, and the results were honestly impressive. As soon as I ran the descale followed by a back flush, a ton of old coffee residue and grime came pouring out – I didn't expect it to have so much build up! What really stood out was the difference in the pour of the coffee afterward.The taste was significantly better – bolder, smoother, and much more balanced. Before cleaning, I didn’t realize how much the buildup was affecting the flavour. Afterward, the coffee had that bold, clean profile you usually only get from a fresh bag of beans, and, as I've now come to realize, a well-maintained machine.As for the product itself, a little goes a long way. Even if you plan to clean your machine monthly – or even weekly – this bottle will last you a good while. It’s simple to use and makes a real difference. If you haven’t cleaned your machine in a while, this cleaner is more than worth it. It’ll really make you appreciate your coffee much more!The pictures show the progression of the cleaning: first, the grime collected in the clear measuring cup during the descale; then, the gunk that settled in the drip tray after the initial flush; and finally, the third flush, which came out clear, as seen in the water collected from the drip tray.

Ich habe diesen Artikel kostenlos im Rahmen von Amazon Vine erhalten, aber dies beeinflusst in keinster Weise meine Meinung!Ich habe dieses Reinigungspulver für meine Kaffeemaschine gekauft.Da auf der Verpackung wie auch den Produktfotos eine normale Kaffeemaschine / Filterkaffeemaschine gezeigt / aufgelistet wird, ist das Pulver ja auch für diese geeignet.Das einzige Problem, dass ich hatte: Ich finde keinerlei Anweisungen wie man es bei einer Filterkaffeemaschine genau anwendet. In der Artikelbeschreibung werden zwar andere Reinigungsanweisungen beschrieben, aber für die normale Kaffeemaschine finde ich keinerlei Angaben. Es wird in der Beschreibung auf eine "ausführliche Bedienungsanleitung" verwiesen, aber ausser dem Text auf der Dose, der viel zu klein ist, dass man ihn lesen könnte, finde ich dazu nichts.Irgendwann habe ich die Suche aufgegeben und mich dazu entschieden, es einfach selbst rauszufinden.Ich habe mich bei der Menge an der empfohlenen Menge für die Reinigung der Brühgruppe eines Vollautomaten orientiert (1 Teelöffel) und habe es dann wie meine Entkalker- und Reinigungswürfel angewendet (erst im Wasserbehälter auflösen lassen, durchlaufen lassen und danach 3 Durchläufe mit klarem Wasser).Das Ergebnis war dann erstaunlich gut - es blieben keine Rückstände zurück und die Kaffeemaschine ist sehr gut sauber geworden. Definitiv besser als meine Entkalker- und Reinigungswürfel, die ich sonst benutze, da diese teilweise Rückstände hinterlassen.Den Preis von 14,99 Euro ist nicht ganz günstig, aber für die Menge ok.Da mich die Reinigungsleistung überzeugt hat: 4 Sterne!(Aber die Beschreibung und der extrem kleine Verpackungstext - da sollte man nachbessern!)

I didn’t realize how much maintenance my new espresso machine would need, but this cleaner makes it easy. It’s simple to use, and it really does a great job removing all the gunky oils and buildup. After cleaning, my coffee tastes noticeably fresher. Definitely a must-have if you want your machine (and your coffee) to stay in top form. With great coffee comes great responsibility — and this powder makes it a lot less painful.
