If you are new to the wonderful world of Cricut and similar machines, you'll find this tiny little tool is an must have. It's designed to help you remove unwanted material from a Cricut cutting mat after it's been cut by a Cricut machine. Be that vinyl, paper, card or plastic.These are particularly useful for "weeding out" small pieces. Especially the bits which are difficult to remove with your fingers, something you'll get a lot of on intricate designs. Using one of these is also a whole lot safer than using the tip of a craft knife.Another good use for them is "negative" vinyl, the area of the vinyl that's not been cut out by the Cricut machine. Vinyl that won't be needed on the final item, for example if using heat shrink vinyl on t-shirts.Plus they can be used for popping or smoothing out air bubbles, particularly on transfer sheets and tape.A task these weeding pens will excel at for several reasons. Firstly because as well as the standard pin-point weeding needle (a sharp straight fine point) this set includes several designs of 'crochet' style hooks.Hooks being really good for lifting and removing larger pieces of vinyl.Secondly because these have the ability to light up using an LED inside the semi transparent tips. To do this simply unscrew a tube, insert two AAA batteries (batteries not included) and screw back together again. A switch on the base is then used to turn the light on and off.A light that's surprisingly bright and effective for such a small device. A light that really adds extra value to the useability of these tools. Plus, as you get 3 different coloured ones with 5 different picks for well under a tenner, the price isn't shabby either.

Die spitzen an und für sich machen einen guten Eindruck, aber:- Bei keinem der 3 Stifte funktionierte die LED-Beleuchtung.- Einer der Stifte hatte ein kaputtes Gewinde, und die Spitzen rutschten einfach raus.0 Sterne

These are clever.I got them to help me to clean up the vinyl cuts for crafting.When they arrive they are in a little ziplock and you get 5 pick tools with a threaded end and 3 tubuar handles.The handles are metal and a good hand size for firm holding.The 5 picks are hooked spikes and not that different to each other (2 double elbow bent spikes, one single elbow spike one single elbow fatter spike )though there is one straight one. All have little silicone sleeves to over the spike in storage.The handles take 2 AAA batteries each(not included) and the click on click off switch is at the bottom.You can use a handle simply as a torch with no tool in it.If you screw in a tool, the threaded end is opalescent and lets the light shine through.These are perfect for using on gadget mending tasks where you want to prod and scrape tiny things and be able to see what you are doing.
