Wir haben uns den Kong Schnellspanner .... für den Wanderurlaub mit unserem Hund gekauft als Sicherheit in den Bergen, um ihn schnell von der Leine lösen zu können bei schwierigen Situationen. Das war sehr praktisch und hilfreich, da wir ihn oben im Gebirge auch zweimal auslösen mussten aufgrund von Geröll und Eisfeld. Wir können ihn nur weiterempfehlen.

This shackle is just outstanding on a dog leash. We have rottweilers, and this size is just right. I like that it is stainless steel.The operating mechanism is so very smooth both when opening, and closing. I can close this shackle with one hand, and the opener tab is aligned with the leash itself. Because of the clevis design, I was able to snip the original clip away from my favorite leash, and install this new shackle without having to go to a saddle maker's shop to get it done. I have tried other connectors, including the boating style snap shackles, and this one, for me, wins by a wide margin.This shackle is a bit spendy to put on a dog leash, but the superior material, workmanship, operational ease, strength, and elegant design is worth it to me; but might not be worth it to everyone.EDIT 07-02-2021: This extra paragraph is targeted only to those discriminating, detail oriented perfectionists like myself. I will address a trifling issue that after some use, *some* people notice that their shackle *may* begin 'sticking' a tiny bit. I have personally experienced this issue after a lot of use. The shackle continued to work just fine, except that the operation was no longer as smooth as it was originally. Bear in mind that my wife did not notice any difference; it had simply developed the tiniest bit of stick when closing it. However, I am that kind of guy who is persnickety about such things. I suspected accumulated 'crud', so I cleaned it thoroughly, but there was no improvement. I took the latch apart, which is exceedingly simple. With a dremel tool, a buffing bit, and some very fine rouge, I polished the surfaces that mate when the shackle is in the closed position. This took perhaps 1 minute, and I was ever mindful to avoid even the slightest bit of material removal, lest the shackle support less weight than it's rated amount. Also, the 3 inner edges of the box that houses the latch assembly were rough-ish, but a brief workout with a piece of 600 grit sandpaper fixed that. I put the latch back together, and now the action is clearly *much smoother* than when it was new! This really is a great shacle!
