My KS TOOLS torque wrench uses a 1/2 push through style drive, the torque rench came with the 1/2" to 3/8" only despite being a 1/2" push through system so to use my standard 1/2" sockets i have to buy the 1/2" to 1/2" square drive which in my opinion should have been supplied especially at the high price the torque wrench cost me. in all honesty the over inflated price for KS Tools torque wrench which is no better than the vastly cheaper brands especially at the price these wrenches retail for they should have been provided with the wrench ...1/2" to 1/2" plus 1/2 to 3/8" plus 1/2 to 1/4", when you can find the exact same non branded generic torque wrench for sale at over half the price less that include the 3 mushroom heads just proves how greedy KS Tools is, remember KS-TOOLS do not manufacture tools they just have tools made for them from the various China and India manufactures and branded with their logo so the logo costs you half the price extra.ok back to the mushroom head, the plastic end is feels super nasty cheap and feels like the cheap hard brittle plastic you would find on some random mega cheap item say like a £1 paint roller from poundland, you know the cheap plastic i am talking about, 1 day in sub zero temperature this red head will smash like glass if you accidental put it down on the red head too hard.the main part of this items is the actual metal 1/2 to 1/2 inch which is basically the same as the connecting bars you get from china for £1 delivered, same metal same quality same chrome finish, even the quick release can be added for an extra 50 pence so frankly KS tools should have supplied these with the tools in the first place so they cheaped out with not supplying this as part of the kit, but what makes this worse is the extreme price they charge you for something that should be about a pound or 2 so KS TOOLS Actively have no shame in over charging you for a generic tool then ripping you off for parts that should really have come as part of the package, when you do buy the essential parts because for accuracy reasons using add on reducers is not the best practice so you will need these solid sizes for best results KS just sell the same cheap stuff you would find from a china supplier at a hugely inflated price.this item does the job but its nothing special and not made in some difficult process so shame on KS Tools for charging unfair inflated prices for essentially a cheap piece of metal with an even cheaper plastic cap.for example with the same money as KS TOOLS prices this minor item i could literally buy a mid sized socket set on amazon (just search) with ratchets sockets extension bars you name it, even with free delivery with 100 times more engineering than i can buy this square lump of 1/2" metal with near to zero engineering for less! so that says it all from KS TOOLS MINDSET of fair pricing (so don't believe the advertising about fair pricing)anyway i still like a fool bought one of these and yes it fits my needs and it fits the tool correctly but i am still not satisfied and i am not impressed especially when a week later my £1.50 inc delivery equivalent direct from china was delivered today and had just as good connection, feel, steel and construction at a 10th of the price....so guess what i am inside my 30 days so off back this item goes to amazon for a refund and now i feel satisfied, especially when the KS Tools and the china direct items look like they were made in the same factories just no branding and in black.so morel of this, buying the cheaper option can be the best option and not always means buying twice when you can return the more expensive one back to amazon.NOW I AM HAPPY as i get my £11 refunded my return paid for by amazon for free and a equally as good part for £1.50i would post the link or address of where to get essentially the exact same item for much cheaper delivered direct from the china seller but amazon just rejects my review so i cant help you other than saying search for 1/2" mushroom head or 1/2 inch to half inch torque adaptor on google and just keep looking as that all i did, once you find it you will see them for £1 without the mushroom head and £1.50 with and even cheaper for just the bar with ball-bearings but no release button..yep less than £1 with deliverythanks
