I have a ton of chickens and I brood chicks pretty much all the time. I am always in search of products to make my life just a little bit easier. Normally I rig things up to raise the food and water in a brooder and I've come up with some pretty crazy contraptions. This makes life SO MUCH EASIER. I love the waterer the most with its adjustable legs to make it taller as the chicks grow. It even has a handle on top if you prefer to hang it. The only downside I could possibly find about it is it only holds 1.5L of water but that is totally not a deal breaker for me and just requires more frequent water fills for larger brooders of chicks. The feeder is a step above most of them that are that style since the base has a triangle in the middle of the bottom to help control feed output. I go a step further and place a ring inside the jar to extend and lower the opening of the bottle to further reduce how much feed is allowed to drop into the bottom. Doing this small addition has lowered feed waste to zero. Definitely will buy again.

So as many of you are going through the chick journey I would recommend this especially for the waterer. It has adjustable legs that starts in on the floor and as your chicks grow it can raise up higher for them. This is a great feature to allow the waterer grow with the chicks. The feeder is pretty much like most feeders but does what it is suppose to do.

We have a backyard flock and for the past couple of years have been letting a broody hen hatch some chicks once or twice a year. I built a brooding box for when she's brooding and for her and the chicks to live in until they're grown a bit. It is pretty roomy but still doesn't have a ton of extra space for a feeder and waterer. This set is the perfect size.I love that the waterer has legs and can be adjusted to two levels. Chicks (and chickens!) are very messy lol. They will poop in the water if you give them half a chance, and they'll scratch any surrounding bedding into it as well. Raising it up over the level of the bedding is helpful for keeping it clean. Start at the lower level when they're babies and raise it as they grow. Unfortunately the feeder doesn't have any legs though so I put that one on a brick to raise it up. Works great.
