Not my first rodeo with one of these cheap coin mechs as I build arcade machines as a hobby / sideline business.Best advice is to pretty much ignore the instructions that comes with it as they are nonsense and will lead you on a merry dance. There is a few excellent videos on Youtube on how to train the coin mech to use whatever coinage or tokens you plan to use with it.Also be aware as it took me a week to figure this out years ago when I first started to use these... if you are wanting to connect one of these to a Raspberry Pi via usb keyboard encoder boards or similar the signal from the coin mech is either or too quick for the encoder board to register or too weak in power. You will need to get a 5v relay and also figure out how to get 5v power to the relay (I recommend taking a feed of your 12v power supply you are using to power your coin mech and placing a buck convertor on it to reduce the voltage to 5v). Connect the white coin wire from your coin mech to the signal pin on the 5v relay and then connect your "button" wires from your keyboard encoder to the other side of the 5v relay. Also make sure the switch on your coin mech is set to NO (normally closed) when using with a relay.Because I imagine most people buying these coin mechs are using them for Raspberry Pi / Retropie etc arcade machine builds etc the need to have to use relays etc and the terrible instructions that come with it that makes no sense I can only give it 3 stars.

We usually by in bulk direct from another supplier but needed a coin slot at short notice for a customer. Installed on the customers machine only to find it wasn't allowing coins to pass through for the sample set.
