It has a plastic piece so you have to be aware of it

I bought the Kupo Convi Clamp to mount an audio recorder, LED light, softbox, backdrop pole, etc., in cramped quarters inaccessible to tripods and light stands. And it takes my Linco Flora Light bank or Yongnuo LED without flinching, clamping tight onto any typical size tube or board. I'm surprised how much weight it can handle.I own an older Manfrotto Super Clamp and the Kupo Convi Clamp appears to be a close copy of the Manfrotto. Both clamps are cast aluminum and built to last. The main difference is the Manfrotto is lighter and has plastic T-screw handles, is made in Italy rather than China and shipped with a hexagonal pin with 3/8” stud. The Kupo is sold ala carte, so you’ll need to buy a baby pin or hexagonal stud to attach something to it, but T-handles are metal. Manfrotto hexagonal studs fit perfectly in the Kupo so accessories may be shared. I especially like using these clamps with the and extension poles.I also own the short handle version of this clamp, , and they’re identical save for the handle length.The Kupo Convi Clamp is excellent and a little less expensive alternative to the Manfrotto and Avenger Super Clamps. I don’t think you can have too many of these in your studio.

This is a great clamp with a firm grip and chrome finish. Easy to use, locks with ease and is high quality.

Kupo makes high quality grip equipment for the photography and cinematography industries. Have several Kupo products in my studio setup and depend on them regularly to support and position my lighting and other equipment.
