Let me start by saying this rig three adjectives. Big, heavy, and extremely stable. I've assisted a friend of mine who owned the Avenger A5034 and that roller stand is rock solid as well. The Avenger is the same price as this Kupo but it's load limit is 44 lbs vs this Kupo's 88 lb load limit. This one eats up more floor space at 60 inches vs the 40 inches on the Avenger. The height limit is also higher at 14' vs. 11'. The Avenger is more transportable. I took this Kupo for a church wedding and my back hates me. 55 lbs folks. I'm a strapping 42 year old and I sympathize anyone lifting this week to week. It's built to stay in the studio but easily accommodates those big Fresnel Hollywood/Broadway lights. If you like over doing it, you'll get more with this Kupo than the Avenger. But in all reality, they both can easily hold a heavy 1000 watt strobe along with the biggest light modifier you can buy. It's that good and that capable. Just don't think you can throw it in the back of a sedan without dinging it.

This is one of the strongest, best-made, and heaviest studio stands I've ever used. I use it almost exclusively for booming a 4 ft. strip-box out over the top of my backdrop. It's an amazing Kupo product! Because it is very heavy, I only take it on location when there is wind to deal with.

I have to admit that I am a Kupo fan boy. I have 5 turtle base C-Stands, the Junior Cine Boom and 2 High Roller Stands. They are all built with superior quality and premium materials. They can withstand anything thrown at them. The 4 inch diameter roller wheels are sturdy and smooth. It's closed height is 5ft. The full extended height is over 14ft. High enough for almost any shot. And built-in springs protect your hands from being mangled if a section slips through your fingers. Kupo has really thought of everything. They are not the cheapest stands out there, but do yourself a favor and buy quality grip equipment. You will feel the difference. Kupo gear will last you a lifetime on sets. I highly recommend this High Roller Stand and all Kupo grip equipment.

*EDIT* after writing this review Kupo informed me that the foot can be pried out. I went after it more aggressively with a putty knife and hammer, which required more effort than one hopes a new stand would require, got the foot out and then i hammered it back in facing the correct direction and was able to properly attach the casters. So I will give this 4 stars on the basis that it is a nice heavy duty stand with awesome casters, and the safety spring loaded risers is an amazing feature. Again if the stand had come with the plastic feet facing the correct direction I would probably give it 5 stars. See below for my original review:The stand itself seems very nice, the casters come unattached to the stand however which is where I have to take a few stars off. The legs of the stand have little black plastic feet which are flat on the sides and rounded over which allows the stand to make contact with a floor surface in a way that shouldn't scratch a floor. These feet however have to line up inside the "pegs", as I believe kupo refers to them, and then a bolt secures the pegs to the legs of the stand which then become the attachment point for the casters. The stand I received has been assembled with one of these feet on facing sideways such that it will not line up and allow the bolt to pass through the leg on the stand. I suspected this would just be a matter of pulling the foot out and popping it back in facing the right direction but no amount of yanking on it with pliers has gotten the foot loose, so I suspect it is glued in or something. I've contacted kupo and am waiting for a response to see if they have a solution. I will probably end up sawing or grinding the plastic foot off if I have to because I do not want to deal with trying to repackage this or haul it to UPS. If the pieces all fit properly I would probably give this 5 stars, but I am a bit dismayed that there isn't a person checking for this kind of thing before they leave the factory putting them together.

It’s on a whole different level! A couple of months ago I looked at this and I ended up ordering something smaller, then I bought wheels for it, And then I had to screw holes so that wheels wouldn’t flip upside down. And then I decided to stop screwing around and I ordered this, this is above and beyond. It is big and it is heavy but I’m certainly not gonna be concerned with it falling over. 100% happy!
