To try and keep fit I've recently invested in an under desk bike. Unfortunately combined with smooth wood floors in my home office, the castors that come with my Ikea office chair (JÄRVFJÄLLET) make for an impossible task to stop skyting all over the place when I'm pedalling at more than minimum resistance.I thought about castors with brakes but these are fiddly, look like they might break over time, and are over double the price (if you can even find them for Ikea chairs...). Then I came upon this idea - far simpler and more sturdy a solution. The 10mm pins are a perfect fit for Ikea chairs - this isn't advertised that well by the seller but I did the research and I believe it is 11mm for almost every other brand and 10mm for Ikea chairs. Ikea do like to be incompatible with the wider world, kinda like Apple... Anyway they add about 60mm height from the "wheelbase" of the chair, which is a handy extra 10mm from my original castors, and the pads another 5mm on top of that.On their own these are only slightly more grippy than castors, but the smooth plastic doesn't really stay in place that well either (no negative marks here; they are called Gliders!). Anyway, I'd expected this and bought the AmazonBasics rubber pads to go on the base. These are a *perfect* fit for the base of the glider, almost like they were made for each other.Now I have an office chair that remains firmly in place. I can pedal under my desk just like I'm at a gym! Absolutely loving this setup.

Ich habe sie mir für einen Bürostuhl von Ikea gekauft und sie passen super. Habe die 10 mm x 22 mm genommen. Fand es etwas schwierig vorher, ob die Stutzen der Stuhlrollen nun 10 mm oder 11 mm sind, aber ich meinte, 10 gemessen zu haben und dann hatte ich auch in den Rezensionen von anderen Ikea-Stühlen gelesen... Und sie passen prima. Qualität kann ich natürlich jetzt noch nicht beurteilen, aber sie machen einen guten, soliden Eindruck.
