I am happy with this product. Build quality and sturdiness is good. Screw in fitting also good. Rust resistance coating is good. I don't agree with some postings about inaccuracy of measurement - I believe the measurements on the glass are calibrated to the slightly enlarged opening at the top... meaning the scale offers a more sensitive (ie. stretched) reading. My reason for the one star deduction is that the bottom measurements are obscured by the metal swirl structure. When we are having little rain and I am deciding whether there was enough to avoid me having to water plants, this is the zone I'm most focussed on. You pretty much have to raise the glass to see these numbers. A manageable issue and I suspected this would be the case based on the photos. I partially chose this model because if offered centimeters, which many similar models do not. Thank you for that!

This rain gauge is practical and beautiful, first I have to say that coming from the La Crosse brand I knew it had to be accurate and it is, people should disregard other reviews that show a ruler next to the glass, the scale is based on a mathematical formula and is not a linear measurement that is why even the jumbo rain gauges to the smallest reading 5 inches of rain.I said beautiful as the metal finish and the spiral design makes really dynamic and compliments the organic shapes of any place, it looks so good in my garden.It is practical as easy to install, I use it in the ground but it has a mounting bracket to hang it on a fence or post, also the glass tube just slides in and is ready to take out to empty the water. I have to admit at first; screwing the pole on the bottom was misaligned but I just push it and went right in place and feels secure, also for the customer complaining about this just bend it a little too straight it would not brake.Overall super happy with the rain gauge, metal structure, and glass tube for a super good price.

This is a great rain gauge and looks very nice in our flower bed.We like that it is glass and metal rather than plastic.Best gauge we have owned.
