This was an unexpected surprise. I was expecting something that might hold a 2.5 inch drive on the lid of the laptop with not much trouble and maybe it would stay still for a bit and not slide out while moving about on the couch. This thing is more like an elastic fabric and it holds the drive solidly and snugly.The point of getting this was to keep the solid state drive still somewhere without taking up desk space or getting in the way of mouse and headset cords. It is absolutely getting that job done admirably. Additionally, when putting things away in the laptop bag, no longer do I need to put the drive away separately as it can just stay in this pouch, and I can slip the excess length of cable alongside it in the pouch with the end tucked in the tiny pen flap there, and not have to fumble around looking for it the next time I get the laptop out.You can do things the same old way for a long time and not realize how inconvenient something is until you find a better solution. This adhesive pouch IS that solution I didn't know I needed.

This is a nice convenience item to store things on the back of your laptop screen. I'm enjoying using this on my Mac Air. Makes it easy to keep a peripheral connected if you're moving around while still using the machine. Also makes transporting peripherals easy.A suggestion - make the sleeve magnetic, and provide an adhesive backed plate that can be attached to the machine. Then the sleeve is removable!

Just make sure you clean the surface before sticking it on. The sticky stuff is a well known maker of all things adhesive.The material of the pouch is stretchy and I was able to insert a mouse into it without any problems. In general use, carrying my laptop or tablet. The pouch kept the items in place. I won't try to run when you have items in the pouch but it does a good job of holding on to what ever you might place in there.

My hubby is infamous for knocking his external hard drive off of the desk, so I *had* to get this for him.It works great to keep the drive handy and safe. The pen loop is super useful, too.
