In dieser Ausführung ein sehr schweres, relativ dickes Schreibgerät - muss man mögen, so wie ich.Als Tintenroller gibt mir der Lamy mit hinten aufgesteckter Kappe ein perfektes Schreibgefühl und verhindert, dass ich beim Schreiben zu stark aufdrücke (jahrzehntelange Gewöhnung an Kugelschreiber). Den Vergleich mit anderen Herstellern in diesem Preissegment (Parker, Waterman) hat dieser Schreiber für mich eindeutig gewonnen.Die M63-Mine in mittlerer Strichstärke passt für mein Schriftbild sehr gut, kann mir aber vorstellen, dass sie für viele zu stark ist. Wie andere Rezensenten schreiben gibt es aber auch qualitativ hochwertige Ersatzminen anderer Hersteller, die passen.Was ich vermisse, ist die Option, diesen Tintenroller mit Holzkörper zu kaufen. Wenn Lamy einen solchen Tintenroller herausbringt, bevorzugt in der Serie 2000, gehöre ich sicher zu den ersten Käufern.

Really lovely pen and a nice alternative to the much more expensive Lamy 2000 fountain pens. The material feels great in hand, better than expected, and the pen lids mechanism is a joy. The seams where the body unscrews almost vanish entirely such is the precision finish on this. The clip mechanism also is very solid.In terms of writing, I picked this over the ballpoint to get a smoother feeling and something closer to a fountain pen, and in that regard it doesn’t disappoint at all.If you want a Lamy 2000 and either don’t want the hassle of a fountain pen or don’t want to spend the extra money, this comes highly recommended.

Beautifully made, as are all the LAMY 2000 pens and pencils. At first glance it is nothing special but it is actually a superb, precise bit of engineering. There is a joint in that barrel that you can neither see nor feel.The shape is ideal for me. It fits my hand perfectly and those tiny metal 'lugs' that hold the cap on do not bother me in the slightest. The tapered barrel enables the user to select the ideal diameter by slightly moving up or down.The refill is super smooth and it lays down a good dense black line. I had intended to change it for a gel refill but the standard rollerball refill is so good I haven't bothered to change it. There is no trace of wobble, the refill is held perfectly.UPDATE: I have now directly compared it with 1. The Pilot G2 gel refill and 2. The Schmidt ceramic ball refill. The LAMY refill is distinctly smoother than both of them.Faults? None. I still prefer a good fountain pen though.

The Lamy 2000 as I bought it is not what I expected, even after reading about how wonderful the pen was. I find the pen difficult to write with, print with, etc.,I am sure that the pen is great in some one elses hands, just not mine.Don't get the wrong idea that the pen is not a good buy, it is, just not for me. I buy and use lots of rollerball pens and forsmoothness, flow etc., the pen is great, just not great in my hands.Good luck finding that one great pen.I bought this pen through Amazon and everything ran smoothly.Bob Zeller
