A truly poor rip-off of the highly successful GateMate product. I mistakenly purchased this low quality copy of the GateMate 70mm lock and what a pathetic copy it is. Until now, I have never seen a brass product rust before. Everything about this lock screams 'cheap, poor quality and unreliable'. For starters, the key barrel began to rust after just a week; as did the screws that secure the lock surround to the outside of the door. A few days later, the key wouldn't release when the lock was engaged; taking several attempts before finally releasing it. Then came the lock jamming nightmare where I was unable to unlock the door because the cylinder would not turn. After trying all 5 keys and oiling the cylinder repeatedly, I finally had to result to forcing the lock to get it open. This is an appalling product that is likely to fail permanently and is being returned as defective so that I can replace it with the tried and tested GateMate version.

Looks to be well engineered. Picked the larger size so that the barrel would fit the thickness of my gate. Had to use a 26mm wood bit to drill through the gate.The lock assembly fitted easy enough and looks great.The stainless steel wood screws supplied are OK, but I would recommend predrilling the holes for these screws and use a Phillips screwdriver to install them.Would order another in a heart beat and would recommend to anyone. Easy to fit with DIY skills and a bit of common sense.Also lastly I think it's great value for money, considering the design and materials used.

Used less than two years and today I could not come home, because the lock is stucked and impossible to open. Luckily I could come in on the front door,but I am really disappointed, I loved this lock till today 🥺

Very good locks, bountiful keys and adequate hardware. Sadly whoever did the design has never tried to fit one or he would have made the lock barrel diameter to suit available hosesaw sizing. Holesaws come in 22mm, 24mm,25mm etc but not 23mm. Fitting to a double skinned steel garage door was therefore more trouble than it needed to be, that said, the locks look the part and work well.
