I bought the laser 4 months ago. I tested it out, and everything all worked. The batteries showed no indication of charging, but there was nothing in the instructions saying that the batteries should light up while charging, and the batteries showed full charge when the laser was on, so I assumed everything worked as expected.A couple weeks ago, I got out the laser to install some lights in my garage. One battery was completely dead, and one had one bar. The laser would turn off within 2 minutes while running the working battery. I could not get the batteries to charge with the original charger or multiple of my USB-C chargers. I put the laser away and emailed the seller.The seller had me try a few different things, as the odds of both batteries being dead on arrival were low (which I agree with). They asked me to try a different charger one last time, so I found another USB type A to USB-C cable and charging brick and tried it. The battery still did not light up. I turned around the USB-C plug, and it worked! I immediately tried the original charger again, and the USB-C to USB-C chargers that I had tried before, and none of them worked. Both the charger and the cable that came with the laser were dead on arrival, and the USB-C to USB-C cables I have will not charge the batteries. It needs to be a regular USB type A charging brick, with a USB-A to USB-C cable. The USB-C plug only works in one orientation. I reported this back to the seller, and they gave me the option of sending me a new charger or refunding me $10. I told them whichever they preferred would work for me, and the next day I had $10.81 refunded according to Amazon. They never left me hanging, and they had no problem making right on the dead charger. I got this laser because it was a 3x360 laser and it didn't cost $300-400 like the Bosch and Dewalt, and I don't regret my choice. If you have charging problems like I did, try a different USB-A to USB-C charger, and flip around the USB-C plug. The battery should light up while charging, and all 4 charging lights on the battery will be on at the same time when it is fully charged.Update 8/7/21:I have used it a few times now. Most recently I used it to install can lights. The laser has been working fine. I have been procrastinating on buying a tripod, but I think a tripod would be worth the money. When I was installing the can lights, I had the laser sitting on the floor. I kept blocking the laser with my body, and a tripod would fix that.

Makes all the competitors look VERY over priced!!!! This thing works and works very well. I do construction everyday I’ve used every top brand. And this thing for a quarter of the price is as good if not better. Thanks guys
