I use it when we have 6 or mid for the meal. Worked great baking & presenting a Spiral Ham.I also used it for a double lasagna. Even heating & nice on the table. Cleans up easily

This pan is AMAZING! We bought it for the specific purposes of making lasagna, baked ziti, mac and cheese, scalloped potatoes, roasting meats, etc. and it delivers! The first dish was lasagna (http : // allrecipes . com / recipe / 23600 / worlds-best-lasagna /) and it really was the best lasagna I ever made.This is our third Le Creuset piece (we have the doufeu dutch oven and the large braiser) so we knew what to expect quality wise - but we were still amazed at how well things cook and how easy it is to clean up afterwards.It's not quite big enough to roast large turkeys (sad face) but we knew that going in and bought their large stainless steel roast pan for those occasions.

Like all Le Creuset products, the quality is top. If used correctly, this purchase should last a lifetime (and be handed down generations). Make sure you measure your oven as the dish is very large and the handles can make it tricky to get into a typical UK oven depending on where you have placed your oven rack. This roasting dish is ideal if you roast large meats/birds, but it also works for smaller roasts too. The high sides are good to keep the oven protected from spits of fat from the roast (happens at high temp) and also for keeping the heat even around the roast. It is heavy and that is one disadvantage. But once out of the oven, and once you take the roast out to rest, you can put the dish straight onto the stove heat and add liquid to deglaze the dish and make some great juices/gravies. Beware though not to use metal utensils to stir/deglaze. So the pros is that it is large, durable, and produces great roasts and lovely gravies, is nice to look at and is a renown brand, and the cons is that it can be too large for some smaller ovens, is very heavy, and needs non-metal utensils. As far as ease of cleaning, it depends how thoroughly you like your roasting dishes clean. If you want to keep the dish looking brand new after each clean, you'll be frustrated. This surface will stain over time (carbon/burnt marks) , and the stains will be near impossible to remove. As far as cleaning and removing stuck on food and making the dish sanitary, it is very easy to clean and just a soak in soapy water and a gentle scrub will work. In all, I recommend this product and any other Le Creuset dish.
