They run on 6v, and produce a brilliant light with perfect colour rendering. Unlike bulbs of other types which may not accurately represent the colour of objects, this bulb shows it perfectly. It shines in all directions, which may mean you might need a reflector to angle it as needed.They are easily installed into compatible appliances - just remove the broken one and replace with these.If using in DIY/crafts be aware that these bulbs get very hot - 45deg @ 3mins, 75deg @ 10mins.I am happy to recommend this product.
