Leifheit - nie wieder!Unsere Alte kann man getrost als Sch... bezeichnen.Nun doch wieder.Mangels Hersteller und nach wirklich schlaflosen Nächten habe ich eine Linomatic 400 deluxe bestellt.Mir schossen vor Freude die Tränen in die Augen und wahrlich, wir haben 3 Tage und Nächte um die Spinne getanzt.Öffnen der Spinne: nicht zwei - nein ein Finger reicht. Das Gleiche beim Schließen. Leicht und ohne Gewalt.Und Leifheit das schwöre ich euch, wenn das nicht so bleibt, bekommt ihr den Plunder in den nächsten 3 Jahren (Garantie) wieder zurück, gnadenlos.Ich werde hier weiter berichten und wenn es sein muss, die Sterne untergehen lassen.07.07.2014Nach der geschützten Überwinterung funktioniert die Spinne - aber nicht mehr so leichtgängig.Das Aufziehseil geht nicht mehr selbstständig zurück und im geschlossenen Zustand haben die Arme einen offenen Spalt von ca. 2-3cm.Ich ziehe mal einen Stern ab und melde mich wieder.05.09.2014Da bin ich wieder - und es scheint ein Drehbuch zu werden.Der Spalt hat mich dann doch gestört. I do not use a clothes dryer; I line dry all our clothes year around. In Wisconsin that means drying indoors in the heart of winter. Even so I line dry outside 9-10 months a year. I have coated aluminum line cord on a fixed line in the backyard but wanted to supplement it. I line dry for environmental reasons; it is also better for clothes plus I was raised this way.This clothesline is a piece of art. It works flawlessly and hold a full load of lighter weight wash. The lines are fairly fine cord and I'd not recommend hanging heavy blankets or rugs on them. It is perfect for clothes, towels and sheets/pillow slips. It allows me to make better use of a sunny spot in my yard. The fact that you can collapse it when done is an enormous bonus. I also plan on bringing it inside for the worst of winter.I spent a lot of time looking at other outdoor clothes lines and this one is the best made. Well worth the money. It came very well packed with clear instructions in English. Made in Germany. I am proud to support the growing line drying community by recommending this clothesline.

Received this clothes dryer on December 3, 2011 and when we opened the packaging the lines wouldn't stay extended when you pulled the rope. Closer inspection revealed that the release mechanism was so tight that it wasn't allowing the lines to lock extended, the latch was already being pushed to release.First contact was with German office on December 4, and they offered condolences, referred me to American office in N.Y. and assured me they would take good care of me. I contacted N.Y. office and waited two weeks.Second contact I copied email to German office. German office responded right away that although they couldn't help, the USA office would.It's been almost a month now and the second contact has had same response as first from N.Y. office - nothing.I've since removed the release mechanism and am using the outdoor clothes dryer and it works well. Seems to be well built, but I sure hope I don't need any customer support from the manufacturer on this one..................................................................................As you can see, I had some problems in the beginning. During Christmas-New Years Holidays I was contacted by a representative of New York office. He apologetically explained how their computer security software was being too restrictive and not allowing legitimate customer emails through, so they had not been getting my complaints.The Leifheit Company offered reparations beyond my expectations and have followed through on all of their promises.I've said all along that the product was extremely well built and should last and last. Now with customer Support as I have experienced they should go far in this country of more discerning consumers who are looking for alternatives to inferior products made in China.
