the product description stated that it was compatible with Xbox consoles. Based on this information, I bought it specifically to store and play games on my Xbox Series X.However, after connecting it to the console, I discovered that the Xbox only recognizes the SSD as a media storage device (for music and videos) — it does not allow games or apps to be installed or run from the drive. I attempted to resolve the issue by reformatting the drive to NTFS on my PC, but the Xbox still does not allow its use for game storage. After further checking, I learned that the Lexar SL500 is not supported by Xbox for games and apps because it is detected as a portable media drive, not a game-capable storage device.

Small, very lightweight, fast, enormous capacity, plug and play, what's not to like? If you are on the move, off the grid but need your data, this will be your best friend.
