It has rubber pads on bottom and on top to grip the laptop.Definitely cools down laptop by forcing the airflow inward.The height elevation is just perfect, I have set this on second setting can elevate one more level up.The grill mesh is sturdy and the entire pad can bear my heavy laptop easily.Only downside I would say is the led's have only two modes, either constant on or slow blinking in interval.The fans are definitely silent.Overall a good product.

Ich bin überrascht, wie gut dieses recht günstige Teil arbeitet. Ich bin kein Anhänger von LED Orgien und daher dankbar, dass man das entweder dezent einstellen, oder ganz abschalten kann. Der Lüfter ist regelbar und deutlich leiser, als der meines TUF 17'' Gaming Notebooks, der inzwischen deutlich seltener schuftet. Die Temperatur von CPU und GPU sind deutlich geringer.Die Lage der Ventilatoren passen perfekt zu den Einlässen an meinem Notebook und so arbeitet es sehr effektiv. Das beiliegende USB Snschlusskabel ist lang genug, um an den USB Anschluss des Notebooks zu kommen, egal, wo diese angeordnet sind. Das Gerät steht stabil und ist sehr gut in der Neigung verstellbar. Netter Nebeneffekt ist, dass dadurch der Monitor auf eine ergonomisch günstigere Position kommt. Da ich fast Ausschließlich mit Maus, oder Controller spiele, stört es mich persönlich nicht, dass dann die Tastatur natürlich weniger günstig positioniert ist.Ich bin hochzufrieden mit dem Teil.

Nice little chip pan okay for one or two people

It's a fairly solid stand, which nicely supports my heavy (2.3kg) laptop. The legs feel sturdy and definitely improve airflow, especially on solid surfaces, but as others have mentioned, it's easier to use an external keyboard when the legs are up. For on-lap use, the legs can be retracted, though, and it works nicely enough; although there can be a bit of slip-sliding if you move too suddenly. I've had to catch the laptop from falling off a few times, but then I can be quite rambunctious at times. The plastic "kickstand" support at the bottom doesn't really feel sturdy enough to hold the weight of the laptop, yet it does, and has for 3 months so far.My on real gripe is to do with the title description of the product. It says "2 USB ports", which I inferred meant there was a small USB hub on the device, or at least a through port that would still allow me to connect other devices to the same port on my laptop. However, there's only one USB port, which is used to power the device, so for the misleading description I've knocked off a star. Other than the USB port, there's a switch (potentiometer) to turn on/off and control the speed of the fans, and a button to switch the lights on/off.It is regularly used in temperatures of 27-35C (and sometimes hotter), and it seems to be able to keep the laptop as cool as it can under those circumstances. I would recommend you check the measurements (you lose about an inch and a half from where the kickstand starts at the bottom), as the parts of the laptop that hang over the end of the device will still run hot.
