This Lifeswell Universal In-Ground Umbrella Holder is amazing. It far exceeded our expectations! It is a well thought out design, heavy, strong and durable. The support and stability it provides our cantilever umbrella is the best. We were having problems with the wind in the stand we had and this in-ground holder has totally rectified the problem. So nice not having a big holder taking up so much patio space too.

This umbrella anchor seems heavy duty, has plenty of mounting holes for whatever pattern your base may have, and even includes the necessary bolts and washers. It appears to be plated for corrosion resistance and durability.I was anticipating having to drill mounting holes to attach the base I got (also from Amazon), but I was pleasantly surprised to find the exact pattern I needed already drilled and threaded. It is 16 inches long as stated in the description, and the cylindrical part of it is hollow.I know it is intended for mounting in concrete, but I'm using it in the middle of my yard where I did not want to pour a concrete base. I simply dug a ~16 inch-deep, 5 inch-diameter hole with a post digger, loosely filled the hole back in with dirt, centered the base in the hole, and hammered it into the dirt with a rubber mallet. Once level with the ground, I forced more dirt through the hole in the center of the base to make sure the cylindrical portion of the anchor was packed full for stability. So far, it seems very sturdy, and I don't think it's going to move at all. If using this method, I would recommend digging the hole as narrow as possible so that the surrounding dirt is still packed and undisturbed. If installing in concrete, I'm sure this will be rock-solid. Overall, I'm very happy with it!

Installed in my backyard for a heavy duty patio umbrella. The stability this in ground base provides is excellent. Pretty basic to install, I used quick set concrete and I have been enjoying using it-perfect size for a larger umbrella. Functions exactly as it’s supposed to!

I read the reviews prior to ordering this. I needed some kind of base for my new cantilever umbrella that would keep it from blowing away during heavy winds (which we get here quite often). I saw how easy it was to install so as soon as it got here hubby and I got some quikrete from the local hardware store.It took very little time to install this. Hubby dug the hole, inserted a pvc tube he had laying around (to make it even more stable), inserted the anchor, waited for the quikrete to dry and then he attached our umbrella base to it. I had ordered another base for the umbrella but didn't need it as this anchor works perfectly and takes up a lot less room than even the original base that came with the umbrella.Strong, durable anchor that comes with mounting hardware. We're thrilled with it! Highly recommend if you have a cantilever umbrella.
