This is a great product. It kept me warm for a long time. Very portable, kept one in my pocket when I was outside in the cold. Easy to use just open packet and it starts to warm up in your hand.

These handwarmers produce a gentle warmth. The heat does not appear immediately after activation. It can take up to a couple of minutes before they start to warm up. After that the heat builds up but it is never too hot and the it persists for a considerable time. I did start to time how long they lasted but forgot about it after an hour. It was still warm several hours later. The bag containing the warming chemicals is quite tough. The packaging is easy to open by tearing away from the 'rip notch' by hand. I wouldn't attempt to cut the packaging to avoid piercing the bag containing the warming chemicals.If I have one issue with this product, it is the lack of directions for disposal. The packaging just says dispose responsibly. In an age where recycling and responsible disposal has become recognised as important, I would have preferred some more specific information, especially after all the warnings on the packaging about not opening the bag containing the chemicals.Apart from the lack of recycling or disposal information, I am not unhappy with this product. I do a lot of hill walking. I now keep one of these in my backpack in case I get too cold. Although, my feeling is that this is more for times when I have been out too long and have become cold rather than routine usage.The packaging says that this product is made in China.
