Works just as good as any of the other varnishes. I do have to say that I am a fan of the high gloss and the painting that I was doing the customer wanted a satin finish. I begrudgingly bought this, as I didn’t think it was going to do the painting justice, but I was actually quite pleased with the finish.

The gloss is a perfect shine on finished pictures. Not to high gloss just the correct amount of a sheen. Easy to use. Seals your finished pictures fantastically.Very good product. First time I have used a sealer and varnish product. Both in 1 is great.

Als mijn schilderij af is teken ik eerst met een zwarte stift en een héél lange ijzeren staaf (voor de stabiliteit) of een lat, een fijne lijn op ongeveer 2 mm afstand van de rand rondom het schilderij als referentielijn. Om geen kader te hoeven kopen verf ik het kader met zwarte acrylverf tot op de zwarte stiftlijn. Dan schilder ik een dun laagje van deze Liquitex satijnen lak erover (tot achteraan) zodat er geen zwarte verf kan afgaan op de muur bij het ophangen. Een aanrader!

This Varnish is Very Good .I purchased some to Varnish over my Finished Acrylic Painting & What a Lovely Finish it has Done 👍I think it's a Good Idea to Varnish over your Finished Work of Art ...Firstly It Protects the Painting & also it Enhances the Colours slightly which is Great !!!Always Leave your Painting to Fully Dry first before you apply this Varnish I normally leave my ACRYLIC Paintings to Dry for 3 Weeks or More Before I Give them a Coat of Varnish 👍 I also find Laying your Painting flat on Floor or Table using some old cardboard so No Varnish Drips Damage Table or Carpet .I Feel Laying the Painting Flat Stops the Varnish from Running 👍 Just apply Varnish Evenly With a Clean Soft Brush Working From Top Left Corner straight even Strokes over to Right corner & Then Work the same way Left to right Making sure you give the Painting a nice even Coverage working your way down the Painting.This Varnish does Dry Fairly quickly, If you do see an area you have missed Wait till painting has dried & then repeat the same method again I Think 2 coats is Just PERFECT Using this Stuff 👌Also Do Not shake the Bottle Always stir it before Use .I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who's looking to Varnish there Work of Art .Hopefully this review has Helped someone out there 👍HAPPY PAINTING 🖌🎨 & Have a lovely Day .
