I got these purely as a receptacle for money at Christmas. I've put a few chocolate coins in too so they know there are 2 compartments. Took me a while to figure it out myself and I did get the parts from each box mixed up (I bought 2). They must be hand finished because the bits are not interchangeable which added to my amusement putting them back together. I rubbed a bit of sand paper and a candle on the rough edges to help the pieces move more smoothly. There was a bit of sawdust in the Box which I just tipped out. It is a bit rough around the edges but I think great value for money
