One end of the cable goes through the hole for the chain hook on my hitch receiver and then I can pull the cable through the loop and up to the board to lock it. I can leave it locked while driving and it is really obvious it's locked. I see the purpose as discouraging "grab and go" thieves; I want them to see it's going to take time and trouble to take it.

Macht auf den ersten Blick einen guten Eindruck. Leider passt es nicht in die US Box und das auf keinem meiner Boards. Ich müsste dafür erst mal den Spalt ein gutes Stück abschleifen, damit die beiden roten Eisen hineinpassen. Aber das möchte ich lieber nicht tun ... suche erst mal ein anderes Produkt. Ich wundere mich nur, dass nicht mehr Nutzer dieses Problem hatten. Oder gibt es so große Produkttolleranzen, dass es mich zufällig erwischt hat?

Encaja perfectamente en la ranura de la quilla central. Para una tabla de SUP es magnífico y es facilísimo de poner.

So I ordered this to fit an fcs fun box fir my custom 9’6” long board.On arrival I went to put the metal “ fin bars “ into the fin box on board. Didn’t happen. After lots of repeated trying and nearly giving up it eventually took the bars. Felt like they needed to forge a groove through the fin box before it eventually took them and now they go in every time.The kit itself is sturdy and to be honest if u didn’t have a set of bolt croppers handy you aren’t going to be able to steal a board without ripping the fin box out which I can’t see the average opportunist doing as would be more time consuming than stealing the car ! I will certainly use it regularly. I did change the padlock to a combination lock just because I don’t want yet more keys to lose. If u have a board you treasure and want to leave it on the roof whilst you go to get a few beers in Tesco on the way home from a good surf, get one. :-)
