Used together with the CSL video grabber (link below), this makes copying my old home video tapes to digital a breeze. Note that the scart plug has an in/out switch. I inadvertently switched it when I moved my video player and it took me a while to realise why I was looking at a blank screen.

Very high quality at a bargain price, yes it works fine. I have used this with an old VHS player and Roxio3 +plus software to convert all my old VHS tapes to digital format.

Works ok but rather flimsy

Used to connect an old HDD recorder which only had scart outputs, to a new flat screen TV, I was going to try get a scart to HDMI cable, but apparently this cannot be done as the scart connection does not have a digital channel or something along those lines. So got this and it works fine, picture quality is good and the in / out switch is also useful if you ever needed to reverse the signal direction.
