Being a prime member has its advantages. Yesterday I attempted to start my car (2 litre diesel) after a couple of months of being idle. Battery was too low to be able to start and so I got my jump start out and accidentally connected the clamps the wrong way. Got a spark but did not cause any visible damage. So I reattached the clamps correctly and attempted to start the car again. After about 6 short tries I gave up and went to check the jump start. There was smoke, and the red protection block on the cable melted and the components inside were red hot. The soldering on the cables also melted. I immediately removed it all from the car and discarded th cable. The jump start appeared to be working however the charge on it went very low. The torch function seemed to work and I guessed the rest of it must be ok. So after leaving it in a cool place for hours to recharged it again. I also order these replacement cables which arrived early today. Once the charge on the jump start returned to full I then tried to start the car agin, this time being very careful not to reverse the connections!! The car started instantly. These cables saved my long weekend. Thanks to the seller for dispatching them fast. Also at a competitive price. Highly recommended.

Il prodotto è ben fatto, con materiali di qualità (il rame è spesso e il rivestimento in silicone è resistente), e trasmette subito una buona sensazione di sicurezza e affidabilità.Il connettore EC-5 si adatta perfettamente all’avviatore che già possedeva, ma consiglio di controllare prima la compatibilità, come indicato nella descrizione, per evitare inutili inconvenienti. Anche la corrente supportata (massimo 300A) è adatta alla maggior parte dei piccoli avviatori domestici, quindi perfetto per uso personale.Molto utile la presenza delle protezioni integrate contro corto circuito e inversione di polarità: caratteristiche fondamentali per chi, come mio padre, non è un esperto e vuole un dispositivo semplice ma sicuro da usare.Facile da collegare, leggero e compatto, è diventato un accessorio indispensabile nel kit auto di mio padre. Assolutamente consigliato per chi cerca un cavo affidabile per il proprio avviatore!
