Previously my primary camera bag is Lowepro shoulder bag. As I get more and more lenses, I had two problems with the shoulder bag: comfort and capacity. I can put one body (Sony a7II) and three lenses into the bag and my water bottle on the side, but it's heavy. I have to switch shoulder once in a while. Also, there's no place for a jacket even when I carry only one body and one lens. In the past I once had a Tamrac Expedition 7x, but it was uncomfortable for me. Also I found having to take the backpack off my shoulders and place it on the ground before I can get anything out of it is more inconvenient than I would like. I did not keep the Tamrac for these reasons and this experience made me cautious on camera backpacks.At last, I realized I really need a backpack so I started searching. I decided on this backpack because it allows me to access my camera using the Flipside design and it has a compartment for non-camera stuff. To me this is the perfect hybrid between Flipside and Photo Hatchback. I also like its look. I went on a three-day trip with this bag and I love it! There's why.- It holds basically everything I need. I went on the trip with one Sony a7II and four lenses (including two small primes, no huge zooms like 70-2000) in the lower compartment and clothes, chargers and miscellaneous in the upper compartment. I also have my water bottle and umbrella in one stretch-mesh pouch on the side and my tripod on the other side. There are also belts on the front side to hold more stuff if needed.- The Flipside design. I find it very convenient. It's of course not as fast as opening a shoulder bag, but it's close enough for me. Just buckle up and swing. In a few seconds I can get my camera out or change lens. The backpack also acts as a lens changing table when there's no such surface around.It also keeps my camera and lenses very safe. No one will be able to steal them when the backpack is on my shoulders.- Comfort. I walk around this backpack and my stuff all day and I don't feel any pain on my shoulders or neck.- Build quality. The backpack is well made. The fabric is water-resistant (though the zippers are not) and water beads up on it. In light rain I am confident without the AW rain cover. All the adjustable straps also come with stretchable rings to hold the loose end in place.Of course, it's not perfect. It has a few things that I wish would be improved, but none is a major issue.- The zippers are not waterproof. It's not really a problem with the front ones since it comes with AW cover. But the main camera compartment zipper is not. In very heavy rain, it's possible that rain water will flow down along my back and get to the camera compartment. I am ok with this since I probably won't be outdoors in such heavy rain, but I wish I can have that confidence.- It has a small bottom and tends to fall over. I wish it would stand steadily when I put it with its bottom on the ground. I need to find a wall or something for it to lean on.- The handle is thin. It looks sturdy enough that I won't worry about it breaking apart, but it's not padded like Flipside 400 AW II.- It does not hold a laptop. There's a pocket for an iPad. Maybe a 12 inch Macbook can fit in, but it's in the front which makes carrying the weight less comfortable and also less secure.To sum up, I love this backpack. I think it will replace my shoulder bag for most occasions. I would totally recommend it for travelling and walking around the city.

It is easy to find a place for everything and the pack has all the features I hoped for (eg. built in rain cover). Have used it for some pretty challenging off trail work and the pack was never a problem. ie. sat comfortably on my back. The zipped camera compartment is very easy to access but offers a secure place for the equipment. The zips are very easy to operate but also feel sturdy. I probably could have bought the next size larger but I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Ich bin von der Qulität des Lowepro FlipsideTrek 350 wirklich begeistert. Das gelieferte Modell ist absolut Top verarbeitet. Die Nähte sind sauber gesetzt und sehr gut genäht. Das Material macht wie bei Lowepro eigentlich immer einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck. Das Design wirkt unauffällig und lässt den Rucksack nicht gleich als Kamerarucksack auffallen (was angenehm gegenüber Langfingern ist). Er lässt sich durch die vielen Möglichkeiten (jeder Haltegurt kann optimal sehr gut eingestellt werden) wirklich auf ein top Tragekomfort einstellen.Vom Platzangebot ist der Lowepro FlipsideTrek 350 für meine Zwecke absolut ausreichend. In das Kamerafach was nur von der Rückseite zugängig ist geht meine Eos 6 M II mit aufgesetzten Sigma 24-105 locker rein. Dazu bleibt noch genug Platz für 2 weitere Objektive, 70-200 mm, Festbrennweite und Kleinteile. Durch die 6 mitgelieferten orangenen Raumteiler lässt sich alles recht fest verstauen. An den Innenseiten des Rucksacks sind mehrere kleine Taschen für Kleinmaterial. Viele sind der Meinung das es besser wäre, wenn man von Außen an die Taschen könnte. Für mich ist es gut so, wie es ist, da ich den Lowepro Flipside Trek 350 für Städtetouren angeschafft habe, dort gerne Langfinger ihre runden drehen und sie nicht so schnell drankommen an die teuren Sachen.Die vorderen Fächer sind für meine Zwecke ausreichend groß. Ich bekomme in das obere locker meine Tagesverpflegung und etwas Kleinkram rein. Im vorderen ist Platz für ein Tab in Normalgröße und Kleinkram. Weil es schon öfter angesprochen wurde, in die vordere Tasche passt kein Subbook rein. Praktisch finde ich auch das hier innenliegend noch Taschen sind für Speicherkarten oder Ersatzakkus.Sehr gut gefällt mir auch die Befestigungsmöglichkeiten für mein Reisestativ (Sirui ET-1004 Easy Traveler ) . Es lässt sich links oder rechts ganz einfach in die Taschen stecken und mit beiden Gurten festziehen. Es sitzt dort richtig fest! Alternativ ist es auch mittig zu verschnüren, was auch sehr fest sitzt.Fazit: Für meine Bedürfnisse (Städtetouren und Tagestouren) ist der Lowepro Flipside Trek 350 wirklich die beste Wahl. Nicht zu groß und nicht zu klein. Verarbeitung Top und sehr unauffällig. Auch wenn der Preis nicht so günstig ist, aber ich finde das es ein gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist.Wer mehr Platz benötigt sollte eher auf der Modell Lowepro Flipside Trek 450 schauen.Von mir gibt es für die beschriebenen Aktivitäten eine volle Empfehlung für den Lowepro Flipside Trek 350 !

I own the smaller version, the 250. It just didn't do a great job because of the size. I'm always limited.So I bought the 350.I can have my 70-200mm lens on my camera this time around.I can have my first aid pack, camera and some bicycle tubes and it all fits.If I use the rain cover, I don't need to take it off to access my camera.I just love this configuration. The straps are comfortable.
