At first I was very skeptical about ordering a head replacement and to tell you the truth, I really didn't know how. But after many agonizing months of not playing my bongos, I decided to do it. I simply took off the old head and measured the top of the bongo where it had been fitting and used that measurement for the order. They fit perfectly. They are lasting very well, sound very good, and they look better than the original heads. I'm happy with this product and plan to order them again as a backup.

I think these heads are fine, but they come with zero instructions on how to install. I wrecked the first one I purchased by mounting it dry, and trying to remove a ripple by tensioning. The new head tore along the rim line. I soaked the flat part of a second head in water for a half hour in water before mounting (to soften the rawhide), and that one worked perfectly.
