We are really happy with the purchase - good quality and a fun thing to have! Great gift also!The only problem is the scratching - it should be done with the eraser and it's a bit messy and also quite tiring. Maybe they should reconsider this choice, or maybe include a sturdy eraser specifically made for this map in the package.

Arrived in good packaging but when opened on Christmas Day the frame was cracked in two places. No way of contacting seller apart from ‘return or replace item’. As original packaging had been recycled I had no way of posting back therefore decided to keep item & try to repair or may need to buy new frame. Shame as item looks good but had obviously been damaged prior to posting as packaging was not damaged at all.

Looking at the previous reviews, it looks like there are two different versions of this map that people are receiving. Mine shipped from the U.S. and took two days to arrive, and the quality of the map is excellent. I think there may be a cheap Chinese knock-off that some people get, not sure why.I *loved* the one that I got. The paper is thick and durable, with a smooth matte coating. The background is a dark grey and the colors are rich and vibrant. I didn't find it difficult to scratch off the foil, but I was being slow and careful about it. I had the map on a table and scraped the edges of the countries with my fingernail and used an eraser to remove the rest and it came out great, no scratch marks on the paper at all. My only (very small) gripes are that the countries in South America are all the same shade of red, and northern Eurasia is all teal. There is a small amount of color difference in other parts of the world, but it's minimal. My other complaint (again, super nit-picky) is that there's relief shading for a lot of it, but not for some countries. Colombia, Ecuador and Peru are home to the Andes, but there's no shading at all, while Chile and Argentina are shaded.Some people have complained that the map doesn't fit in a standard frame which isn't entirely true. It's made in the UK, so it fits European standard A1 frames but not typical American frames. Find one online or at a specialty frame store and you're golden!

Exactly as advertised. Good quality print and scratches off easily. Well protected during transit.

I'm absolutely in love with this! It's easy to find every country on the map, and the smaller countries are numbered for easier location. I've scratched off a few places I've travelled to, and it motivates me to travel more. The map is vibrant, durable, and adds character to my room. It’s also a great conversation starter. Overall, a fantastic investment for any travel enthusiast.
