Arc werd in 1825 opgericht in Arques, een stad in het noorden van Frankrijk. Tot op heden bevindt zich daar het hoofdkantoor van de Arc-groep, de onderzoeks- en ontwikkelingsafdeling en de grootste glasproductielocatie ter wereld. Hoewel het bedrijf vast verankerd is in zijn regio van herkomst, volstaat de knowhow van Arc veel verder dan de Franse grens. Met vijf productielocaties in Frankrijk, de VS, China, de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten en in Rusland kan deze wereldmarktleider voor tafelservies dagelijks maximaal vijf miljoen glasproducten produceren. De Arc-groep is vertegenwoordigd met zes merken: Cristal d'Arques Paris, Luminarc, Arcoroc, Chef & Sommelier, Arcopal en Eclat.

This was the best wrapped item I have ever received. It was a gift for someone and so I was glad to see it arrive in excellent condition. I love this particular dishware line. It has been my go-to for a long time and now I am providing a set for my daughter.

This is a lovely glass bowl with plentyof room and a great way to help show you deserts.I wanted to make a sherry trifle for Christmas and needed a suitable bowl. This rose to the challenge and succeeded.Whilst I will always feel that it is a little exposed when picking it up, whether empty or full, the bowl is still in good condition. It sat in my fridge for a few days leading up to Christmas as I built up the trifle and then completed it a couple of days before. It then too another week for us all to finish it. Yum!Throughout this time, taking the bowl out and returning it, all was fine.I won't recommend that you try the "drop test". I haven't. I sure that the bowl may not survive. If it did, then that trifle would more than likely decide to make for an escape and scatter itself all over the floor.A couple of points to be aware...There is no lid, so covering it with clingfilm to stop the contents from drying out will be necessary when possible. The cream topping was a little too high in the end (expected), but was able to put some on as the jelly set.I know that it will be used again. In the meantime it is being kept inside my mixing bowl, with a plastic one inside it to protect it.
