We have a sheepdog-poodle mix with a "beard" who makes a complete mess when she drinks, so I got this for traveling. When I received it, I didn't see how it would work, but she took to it almost immediately. I'm not sure it's completely spillproof in that I don't know how well it would contain water INSIDE a vehicle but it didn't spill at all in the back of our truck. And it doesn't allow her to play in the water, tip over her bowl or get water all over her face. I was also worried that she wouldn't get enough water but she seemed just fine. Well worth the money.

Two dogs 1 husky, 1 papillon both were differently sloppy.This bowl actually does slow down the drinking and holds enough the Husky isn't worried about running out.papillon lapped at the edge of other bowls and flicked water over the edge - this fixed that too.We needed to flick the water a bit to show them where to drink for the first time but they caught on immediately.It's a husky walks away with half a snoutfull tho - You are still going to have some wet feet. A silicone mat underneath makes the perfect pair. I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I like this bowl. Decent price too.

The bowl worked as described, by having the center floating piece slow down the pace that the dog could drink water. So, it worked for the first 2 days, and then our GSD figured out if he just put his paw in the bowl and pushed the floating part down, he could drink unrestricted. So, instead of keeping the mess from him drinking to a minimum, we had dripping snout AND soaking wet foot. We removed the floating part and now it's just an expensive square bowl.

I absolutely love this water bowl. There’s no more puddles on the floor. It’s compact and easy to take on a road trip. It is also very light. Highly recommend this product for your furry friends!
