This has helped me out when I wake up having a hot flash and sweating. I haven't used another blanket since I got this. It has a cooling side, and a regular blanket side.

This blanket is AMAZING. Keeps me warm and cozy but has that cool blanket feel - that feeling of a cool blanket when first climbing into bed before the blanket is warmed up by body heat. With this blanket, any side that is exposed to the air makes the blanket nice and cool while the side facing down against your body is warm enough you don't get cold. It really does have a cooling effect. This blanket also does have some weight to it, much more weight that just sleeping with a sheet but thick enough without having the bulk of a comforter.I get horrible night sweats (side effect from medication) where my fitted/flat sheets and pillow case get pretty wet (I know gross) and this blanket SIGNIFICANTLY reduces my sweating. I also got the pillow case but haven't even needed to use it yet!From my experience, this blanket is the perfect mix between keeping me cozy/warm/comfortable and giving my body the coolness it requires to keep my body temp down to stop the sweating. I didn't actually know how bad my sweating actually bothered me in my sleep until I started using this blanket. I used to toss and turn all night just thinking it was the way I slept, but since using this blanket I wake up NOTICABLEY less.Wow, well I didn't think a BLANKET would impress me this much....if you get it, hopefully you have a similar experience!
