I have a favourite piercing pillow that I use a lot but it has a plush cover that gets a bit too hot in the warmer weather. Enter this little beauty. The silky feel cover is much cooler & has a soft slippery feel to it that I really like. It means if you want to move around, switch sides or just adjust your position it's much easier because of this silky polyester fabric.The filling is hollow fibre which for me turned out to be just the right amount - not so full that it feels hard or tense & not too thin that your ear hits the mattress. There is a zip on the end but in my opinion it's almost a waste of time because it's so short & although you're supposed to be able to open it & adjust the amount of filling, the inner layer of fabric is stitched up so you have to unpick it, adjust, then sew it up again. I'm afraid all these pillows have the same design flaw but I mention it because it's annoying & may save you any surprises. The whole pillow is washable on a cool machine wash with the filling left inside & it dries fast.The hole is a good size & gives ample space, although as we're all different sizes this is going to be individual dependent. I have average sized ears & there is still space around them to keep clear of any pillow pressure. This pillow is perfect for those with healing piercings, irritated piercings or those troubled with night ear pain.You get a luxury sleep mask with the pillow which is something probably easier to use when the pillow isn't in business but it really is super comfortable too with a stretchy elasticated strap.A very comfortable set well worth the money with a real feel of silky luxury. Dormendo sempre di lato e dovendo usare una maschera CPAP con tubi di silicone che attraversano il viso, ogni notte per me è una sfida. Il problema principale non è solo la maschera, ma la pressione sull’orecchio, che finisce per piegarsi e infiammarsi sotto il peso della testa. Ho iniziato a svegliarmi sempre verso le stesse ore della notte, disturbata da un dolore sordo e continuo. Ho provato a dormire con la mano sotto il viso per sollevarlo e alleggerire la zona auricolare, ma ovviamente è una soluzione poco funzionale e scomoda. Dormire supina per me non è un’opzione, per via di una patologia neuromuscolare e una leggera lordosi che rende dolorosa quella posizione.Per questo ho voluto provare il cuscino LuxoCare, con molte aspettative e una buona dose di disperazione. Avevo già adottato da tempo una “doppia configurazione”: un cuscino compatto sotto e uno più soffice sopra, per dare sostegno al collo bloccato e cercare una posizione di equilibrio. Ma nessuno dei due risolveva il problema dell’orecchio schiacciato.Il primo impatto con questo cuscino è stato decisamente positivo. La sua forma a ciambella, con il foro centrale, alleggerisce davvero la pressione sull’orecchio, permettendomi finalmente di rilassarmi senza sentirmi costretta ad “aggiustarmi” ogni pochi minuti. Il materiale è fresco, morbido, gradevole sulla pelle: una superficie in raso che non irrita, anche se si ha la pelle sensibile o si è reduci da piercing, infiammazioni o piccoli traumi auricolari.Non lo uso da solo, ma appoggiato sopra il mio solito cuscino morbido, per mantenermi un po’ sollevata (come il mio corpo richiede). In questa configurazione, funziona egregiamente. Il foro centrale è abbastanza ampio per le mie esigenze – direi che anche chi ha orecchie di medie dimensioni ci si troverà comodo – e l’imbottitura, pur non essendo eccessivamente “paffuta”, offre un buon compromesso tra sostegno e morbidezza. In caso si voglia regolare il livello di imbottitura, esiste una piccola cerniera laterale, anche se l’apertura è un po’ limitata e poco funzionale per una vera personalizzazione.Apprezzo molto anche il fatto che sia sfoderabile e lavabile, caratteristica indispensabile per chi ha la pelle sensibile o vuole mantenere una routine igienica accurata (soprattutto in presenza di tubi, maschere o dispositivi notturni). Il lavaggio a mano è raccomandato, ma anche in lavatrice – impostando un ciclo delicato – non ha mostrato cedimenti.Un bonus inaspettato: la mascherina per gli occhi in raso inclusa nel set. Comoda, leggera, non stringe e aiuta davvero a schermare la luce, migliorando la qualità del sonno (soprattutto in città o in ambienti poco oscurati).Ovviamente non è un cuscino “miracoloso”, e alcune finiture potrebbero essere migliorate – la cerniera, per esempio, potrebbe essere più pratica. Ma nel complesso è un ottimo alleato per chi dorme sul fianco, ha dolori auricolari ricorrenti o è costretto a utilizzare dispositivi medici notturni.Nel mio caso, ha interrotto quella sequenza di risvegli notturni puntuali, ha ridotto drasticamente il dolore e mi ha aiutata a rilassarmi davvero a letto. Non succedeva da tempo.Un acquisto che ha migliorato concretamente il mio riposo. Per chi vive le stesse difficoltà, o simili, vale assolutamente la pena provarlo.

This pillow is cute, soft and comfortable. It's a nice size as well, especially for when traveling, however it's not quite as thick, or full, as I had expected. Definitely flatter than it appears in the pictures. It arrived compresed by vacuum seal so I had hoped that it would expand a lot more than it did. I'm picky about my pillows and I need a bit more of a supportive lift but I'm personally found that placing one of my flat decorative pillows underneath helps. This way I can still get the ear relief but also that adequate neck and shoulder support that I need. Others may not have an issue with this however. Nice pillow nontheless

I must be in the minority with this looking at the other reviews as I thought this was cheap and not very well made. I suffer with my ears sometimes when I've been lying on a normal pillow and they can be quite painful. I thought this would be a good idea so I could rest my ear over the hole and it wouldn't put any pressure on it. The pillow arrives vacuum packed, and even when it's been out of the packet for days it's still really flat. Perhaps that's how it's supposed to be, but I would have preferred it a lot more plumper (and the pictures do show that it is). The fabric is a shiny satiny type and the stitching doesn't look particularly good. There is a small zip around the edge which is white and against the blue fabric doesn't look very good. The size of the cushion is okay though. You also get an eye mask, which just looks cheap. It's just a piece of the same fabric sewn onto an elasticated band. There is no padding like you get with other eye masks so it doesn't rest right against your eyes. It's currently priced at just over £23, which I don't think is very good value for money for what you get.

Beautiful blue satin, very soft and malleable. Fluffed up the pillow and it’s going to be just perfect as an addition to my pillow, especially for travel. The mask is made from the same materials, and will be a better fit for someone else who can handle it better than I.
