This sound meter with clock, thermometer and hygrometer tells you just about everything you want to know that a device that is screwed to your wall can tell you other than light related information. Quieter environments definitely make you feel better and the sound value is displayed in dBA - the sensitivity profile of your ears - updated as frequently as you like. I tested the displayed level against a sound meter using a pure tone at various frequencies and found that at 440Hz (middle A) the levels were the same with this although at other frequencies, they varied by a few decibels suggesting a slightly different hearing profile for dBA values although it never differed by enough to be a problem.The unit also displays the temperature and the percentage relative humidity. The clock itself uses an internal, rechargeable battery - the status of which is shown in the top right of the display and recharged by the lead supplied using a USB-based power supply with a lead that is around three metres long. When charging, the battery icon turns red but it is normally green when the battery has enough charge in it.The unit itself has a couple of holes in the back so that you can mount it on the wall and there is a supplied template that you can stick on the wall temporarily so that you get the correct position of the supplied mounting screws where they should be.In all, this is a nicely made unit and you can take it off the wall to charge the battery up periodically if you wish - or keep it plugged in permanently. Alternatively, it sits up perfectly on a horizontal surface. Either way, it is large enough to see easily across a room and lets you monitor just how loud your environment is.

Äußerlich wirkt die Verarbeitung des Artikels gut. Wie in Fotos anderer Rezensionen zu sehen ist, werden die Ziffern auf dem Display entgegen den Fotos in der Produktbeschreibung nicht weiß, sondern blau dargestellt. Damit hätte ich noch gut leben können. Leider ist der angezeigte Schalldruckpegel jedoch auch nach mehrmaliger, anleitungsgemäßer Kalibrierung komplett falsch. Selbst in stillen Räumen wird ein Minimalwert von 48 dB nie unterschritten. Bei kleinsten Geräuschen steigt der Wert in den dreistelligen Bereich. Damit ist das Gerät für meine Einsatzzwecke leider komplett unbrauchbar und geht umgehend zurück. Schade!
