Lyre Harp Songbook: 60+ Songs for easy Lyre Harp

Great book to get someone up and playing. It's a good value - good price and amount of content.Unlike other lyre books on Amazon, it is NOT AI slop and an actual human wrote it who no doubt played a lyre. It's a very sad state of the world I have to point out this out nowadays. This is a human written book. It's well written and well organized.Very easy to read, large clear font, good layout. Contains lyrics if someone wants to sing. Both standard music notation and tabs are present. She goes over how to read standard music at the end if you don't know how and want to learn. She also has some info on technique (damping, harmonics). It's not exhaustive, and is meant to intro the topic to a beginner.Book has a 10 string range (C4 to E5) so if you don't have a 16 String book you could still play everything if you have 10 strings. If you have less than 10, there would be many songs you could not play. If you have a 6 or 7 strings, Paul Wilding's Northhaerpe is an excellent book. Even though if you have more than 16 strings, there is still a much to learn from Norþhærpe (it targets beginners and intermediates and one can "still" play everything if you have "too" many strings. As the author of "A Beginner's Song Booklet for the 16 String Lyre-Harp", I want to commend Lena for taking the string to note idea I came up with almost three years ago and using it to create a beginner's book that not only explains the lyre-harp's string to note relationship, but also helps the beginning lyre-harp user with tuning, techniques, and maintenance. In addition, she has included a wonderful variety of songs! I only wish books like Lena's were available three years ago when I started playing. Congratulations, Lena, I wish you much success! Great music book for your Lyre Harp. I can use it with both my 10 and 16 string Harps

I like to try new instruments and the Lyre harp seemed right up my alley. This book got me over the first beginners‘ ropes, teaching even some more advanced playing techniques. The songs are easy to play and I’m having fun–recommended!
