These are so easy to loose, and bard to find when you need them. Whenever I loose one I end up using 1/4" lock washers, but this is bad because the stack height will always be off a bit, and that leaves no room or ability to align the caliper with the rotor, as these do. To align your caliper using these, leave the caliper mounting bolts a little loose, squeeze the brake lever so the pads put pressure on the rotor, then slowly tighten the caliper bolts while still squeezing the brake lever.

This worked for my disc brake. It doesn't seem to fit it terribly well though.
