I wanted the lights in my garage to automatically come on when I walked into the garage rather than having to pull a 2-way pull cord walking in and the same pull cord walking out.I bought this PIR expecting that I could just swap over one of the 2-way pull cords for the PIR, but it wasn’t that easy as the PIR needed a Neutral connection and my 2-way cord switch only had twin and earth 3 core wiring, which ended up being an earth, a live and a live switch (neutral with brown sleeve).I spent ages trying to see how to rewire the garage switches to include a neutral connection and then stumbled upon a solution that worked for me.I ended up by not touching the existing 2-way pull cords but instead wired the PIR into a junction box in my garage lighting circuit that contained a live (to connect with the brown wire from the PIR), a neutral (to connect with the blue wire from the PIR) and a switched live (which is connected to the red wire from the PIR).So now when I open the garage side door and wait 1 second before entering the garage, the PIR senor detects me and switches my lights on automatically. I then do what I need to do in the garage and leave the garage without needing to pull any switches. 30 seconds later the lights automatically switch off.Works a treat and I am so very pleased with the result.Please note that I am most definitely not an electrician but very much an amateur DIY’er and if you have any doubts at all then get a qualified electrician to install your PIR.

utilise pour allumer des lampes de couloir et escalier. j en avais marre que les enfants laissent les lumières allumées.le relais fait du bruit mais c est pas tres grave pour un couloir.installe dans des appliques classiques, c est ca l interet.
